Does the area need to be closed while you test?

We only need short exclusive access to each test location, because the wet pendulum test wets the surface. On most construction sites we work around normal operations, and we can test after hours where that suits you better.

What does the report contain?

Results by test location, the test method and equipment used, the conditions on the day, and what the results mean for the site. Where you need it we also advise on surfaces, materials, testing frequency and remedial processes.

Testing can be undertaken on newly installed internal and external pedestrian surfaces using recognised Australian Standard test methods, including AS 4586 slip resistance testing, where applicable.

We understand that delays in testing can affect handover and project completion. For urgent construction work, Daniels can offer 24–48 hour slip testing response times, subject to location and availability, with priority reporting where required.

Where unexpected results are identified, our materials and risk management experience can also assist clients in understanding potential causes and determining appropriate next steps.
